Quiz: How Employee-Centric Is Your Company?

June 18, 2018
  • What exactly makes a company “employee-centric” and why should you strive for that?

In our view, an employee-centric company seeks to be as “frictionless” as possible, meaning that all barriers that typically stop people from getting their work done and feeling good about it are removed.

Signs you haven’t fully created an employee-centric company may include:

    • Going on a scavenger hunt through the office when you need to find a team member
    • Scrambling to find a conference room at the last minute because the one you wanted to use was double-booked
    • Having to log into a clunky intranet to work remotely
    • Suggesting a brainstorming meeting at a coffee shop because there aren’t any spaces in the office designed for collaboration

An employee-centric company also seeks to make the work environment a pleasant one. This might mean a well-stocked break room or cafeteria with quality, healthy snacks and drinks, regular events to get employees socializing or biophilic elements like views of nature, outdoor areas, and plants.
